(More customer reviews)I think this blade performs very well and as a 10-pack is about the most affordable I've seen. I've owned the same Fein Multi-tool for more than five years and use it almost once a day in my remodeling business. I use it mostly for cutting pine or oak baseboards. It's an invaluable tool which is why those of us who've come to rely on it are willing to shell out $15- $20 per wood-cutting blade.
When it's time to order blades I moan over the prospect of paying so much for a blade that wears out way earlier than much cheaper jigsaw, sawsall and circular saw blades. I know that those other tools won't do as clean of a job on tasks such as cutting installed baseboard, but I still feel Feintool is taking advantage of their customers. Maybe they could manufacture the blades out of one piece of metal instead of the two-piece product? I'm not sure if this two-piece construction does account for the much higher cost.
So Mr. Feintool, you think you can help out your loyal customers by lowering your blade price? And maybe you'll do it before one of your competitors takes away your market share.
